Once again, the BES community is embracing Mitzvah Day on 27th November 2016, following on from previous years when dozens of volunteers have made amazing contributions to the local Borehamwood community in many ways.
This year we have some fantastic activities taking place before, on and after Mitzvah Day.
There is something for everyone in our community to participate in and we really need your support! Mitzvah Day brings thousands of us together to give our time, not our money, to charities which need us. #MD16
Make a dessert or cake for Townsend House: Townsend House provides accommodation for homeless young women with support needs. Although they have the facilities to make their own meals, they sometimes do experience financial difficulties, therefore preparing a dessert or cake would be greatly appreciated. The rota is running for two weeks either side of Mitzvah Day. Please also take along the recipe, so the residents can try to recreate your dish! Make a hearty meal for the residents of Stonham House, Borehamwood: Stonham House is an ex-offenders shelter in Borehamwood housing 15 men, they would really appreciate some good home cooked comfort food.
