Kosher Cupboard now available at Watford General Hospital

Marc Charlton, Georgina Gavzey, Emma Levy and Jason Palman completed a 106Km hike around the Isle of Wight over two days, raising over £6000 (With Gift Aid) towards a Shabbat Room at Watford General Hospital. The first part of this plan is now complete, and there is a cupboard of non-perishable kosher food supplied by Ezra Umarpeh for patients and staff.

How to access the Kosher Cupboard

The cupboard is located in the main block of the hospital (PMOK), on level 5, near the lifts, and can be reached by stairs on Shabbat. The key is kept in a keybox and the code is 1920. For more information, please contact the Hospital Chaplain, Rabbi Yosef Sharfstein, via email: rabbi@busheychabad.org

As plans progress for the redevelopment of the hospital, a suitable room will be identified and kitted out as a permanent Shabbat Room.
